We are so excited to be in our 27th season of production with our on-site natural herb and produce gardens! Our three gardens total 7,000 sq ft. and are located right outside our back door. Each year, we plant around 100 items including several varieties of tomatoes and peppers, yellow and spaghetti squash, beets (golden, Chioggia and Detroit dark red), eggplant, yellow, green and purple beans, zucchini, pumpkins, arugula, rainbow chard, Swiss chard, kale, spinach, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, cantaloupe, blackberries, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, herbs, edible flowers and so much more. Plus, we have mulberry, wild plum, apple and pear trees on our property as well! With all of the wild weather this spring our planting was a little delayed but everything is coming in nicely now and we are currently harvesting all of our herbs, chives, blackberries, rhubarb, Swiss chard, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, several varieties of peppers and tomatoes. We are looking forward to pumpkins, watermelon and cantaloupe which are almost ready to pick! Voted “Best Farm to Table Restaurant” in Boulder County in 2022 and 2023 by readers in the Daily Camera Boulder County Gold poll, we are proud to use our garden-fresh ingredients throughout all of our menus.
Greenbriar Inn Farm has now added chickens! Our lovely hens are raised off-site by The Greenbriar Inn owners, Phil and Emma. They are naturally raised with organic feed, produce and herb scraps from the restaurant, treats and lots of love. Currently, the chickens are getting older and not laying as many eggs, so they are taking a break while deciding if they want to increase the flock!
